Spark Centre of Creative Development

Spark Centre of Creative Development is  administered by Panacea Arts Charitable Trust.

Spark Centre continues the work of Spark Studio as a creative space offering programmes and activities in visual arts practice and creative expression for artists of all standing and capabilities from all social and community spectrum. Particular provision is made for those with diverse needs, for those who are regularly marginalised and who do not have access to creative resource. Any person of any background and life experience who is interested in developing their creativity is welcome.

The Spark Centre provides a supportive environment where quality, in-depth, person-centred learning in art making and self development through creative process is delivered. The work is innovative, unique in its synthesis of arts practice and personal growth. It achieves outcomes concerning: personal growth and well-being; the building of creative community; purposeful and meaningful activity; and the development of capabilities and knowledge in contemporary arts practice.

Programme participants learn about media, techniques and elements of art making through individual and group tuition – they are supported to explore and experiment and to develop new ways of thinking and perceiving; they are encouraged to consider content and meaning and to develop their own concepts and ideas. They are introduced to various and diverse methods of working. Through the group process artists learn from one another and build a sense of community and fellowship through shared creative activity.
